SOLVED Muroidea not getting any power - UPDATE

Hello, I am still very new to pedal building and bought the Muroidea kit from stompboxparts after my first build was a failure. I followed the general workflow tips thread and even managed to get the pedal working on my audiotorium test platform which was a really amazing feeling and it sounded awesome. Unfortunately, after I got it boxed up and did all the off board wiring, the pedal doesn’t work at all. I’m getting no bypass or even an led.

This whole endever has been very discouraging. I’ve spent a lot of money already on supplies and a workbench and everything, followed every step in the workflow thread, and still I have nothing to show for it. I really want to learn and master building pedals but I really need some help because I honestly have no idea what I’m doing wrong. Any help is appreciated!

After finally getting everything wired up properly, the true bypass is working but there’s no sound when the power is on. The LED turns on but besides that, I’m getting no sound. Any tips on where to go from here? I really want to get this thing working for a gig next month

I would double check that your jacks aren't wired backwards. Put a patch cable into one then use a multimeter to check continuity. The sleeve of the cable should have continuity with the enclosure/ground.

Which Opamp are you using? Did it come with the kit?…
It’s the one that came with the kit, I believe it’s an OP07

I will try this when I get home from work tomorrow, but I’m not sure what a patch cable is or how to use it. I apologize but I’m very new.

I’m getting continuity from the cable to the enclosure. Any ideas on what to try next?
I meant a guitar cable. A patch cable is what we usually call short ones that go from pedal to pedal on a pedal board.
Thanks for the info!

Are you plugging your input and output cables correctly? Is the volume up? If it’s working on the auditorium, it sounds like it’s an offboard or interface issue.
Yes and yes unfortunately. Do you think it could be a power supply issue? I have another pedal that has the exact same problem as this one. True bypass works, but when power is on there’s no sound but the LED lights up.

I would test to make sure the IC is getting power. If you haven't done this before it's easy. Put your multimeter setting to 20v, hold your ground point onto the bare enclosure then touch your red/hot pointer onto each pin to see the voltage. I just opened mine up to get some test voltages:

Pin 1: 9.12v
Pin 2: 4.59v
Pin 3: 4.16v
Pin 4: 0v
Pin 5: 0v
Pin 6: 4.6v
Pin 7: 9.18v
Pin 8: 9.12v

The power supply is giving it 9.6v, so your numbers may be slightly different, but they should be close. If not you can figure out what portion of the circuit has an issue.

Ok, so this yielded some strange results. I’m getting 9.27v in, but nothing on almost every pin of the IC I’m getting -0.01v. Why wouldn’t the IC be getting any power at all?
