Muzzle Mod explanation

I’ve built 2 muzzles and both work great. I hook up through a splitter into the key input and the top jacks into the loop. Now that there’s a mod for the pass through jack I’m thinking of modding one of mine to compare the two. I don’t have a ton of experience with gates so my question is, what are the hook up options with this mod? Do I do the 4 cable thingy? Any help is appreciated

I believe it’s the 4 cable method yeah...one Send/Return to tame preamp noise and one pass through for your effects chain.
