MXR Yngwie Malmsteen overdrive...

Do these guitar virtuoso signature pedals actually even sell? Or are they just repainting old stock for some shelft clearance; storage costs money? Same with how Strymon did black editions of all their regular pedals right before releasing the V2. Screw them.

And why so boring. Why not something that would actually move a few units, like a GG Allin signature pedal? No idea which circuit I would link to him though. Everyone guitarist that moves a bit of money today has a signature thing going. But unless they cram some section of their effects-chain in a single box, it's all pretty useless.

"Nikki Sixx auditioned ... but Sixx "didn't know the names of the notes and couldn't play the instrument""

I can empathize with this, same happened to me long time ago, except I didn't go on to fame.
Now at least I know the notes (but still can't play very well)

Oh man GG Allin! Been a while since I thought about that.

Would the pedal defecate or spit out blood when you turn it on?

Yeah, I’ve thought that about Kenny G- in fact, I think it was really wrong of him to record a solo over the original studio recording of “What a wonderful world” after Louis Armstrong died.

But then out of nowhere I see him guest with one of my favorite avant black metal bands, playing a fucking ripping solo on his goofy soprano sax.

So until he does some other dumb shit, Kenny G for now has a pass with me.

(About 3m in)

his son was their guitarist at some point, which is pretty bad ass

Anyone that can make a decent living in this crazy industry let alone get signature gear of any sort from anybody is a freakin hero in my books.

The studio recordings of Randy are terrible. I did not appreciate him until the Ozzy Tribute album. His live tone is pretty great compared to those super shitty sounding studio albums. He is famous for bringing the neo-classical thing into heavy rock. Plus....That boy sho could play.

Personally, I don't get Bonamasa, Satriani, and Eric Johnson.and other really generic sounding types. It doesn't really matter if you can play well, if the stuff you play is boring or totally uninteresting.
