I bought a few Mystery Meat PCBs a while ago because I suspected that I might want to modify it. As it happens I was right!
The first one I built dead stock, just to hear what was going on. I am wary of replacing parts on PCBs because it can go badly very fast. So when I found that the stock version was a bit dark for my tastes and the low strings were muddy and indistinct I found which pF value caps were in the loop and reduced the values or simply left them out. I forget exactly what I did but it worked well enough and I like my second build a lot better.
So now I'm wanting to build a third one but this time I want a tiny bit more low end. Just a smidge - a hint, if you like. But there are a lot of bits on the PCB. Is there a schematic we could peruse to see how I might violate the board to achieve what I want?
