I wonder whether they copied the tonestack from the Fuzzdog Baxandall Muff or the Thorpy Fallout Cloud.

Staying in the PPCB realm, you could probably "hack" something really similar by using the Pyrocumulus PCB and putting the first set of diodes on a switch.
