Now Playing... What are you Listening to Right Now?

NOW PLAYING... LOTS OF STUFF I DON'T LIKE

Trying to learn some "material" for a potential band opportunity...

Finding I'm liking playing some of the stuff I don't like listening to.

ANYONE ELSE HERE LIKE PLAYING STUFF THEY DON'T LIKE JUST-LISTENING TO?

First time I heard this band on the radio I LOL’d in the car, by myself. It’s so ridiculous that it puts a big smile on my face.

Got any instrumental stuff like this?
Was really enjoying it, right up until the uhm vocalist joined in. Great interlude with the fretless bass, too.

Usually I click off as soon as I hear this type of vox — it's like durian fruit: does nothing for me, just not to my taste but I get that other people like it — I liked the music so much, though, I played this one through to the end. Never done that before.

Speaking of fretless instrumetal...

There's a few projects that Steve DiGiorgio has played that were instrumental, and I think he's got another instrumental album coming out soon...

After a rather sombre evening, I had The Moog Cookbook pop into my head for the first time in genuine years.

Bob's Boogie/Funk

However, this was my first introduction. The intro is magical. In fact I would often just skip back to the beginning when the verse actually starts :ROFLMAO:

And their rendition of Basket Case slaps, too.

I just discovered this album after reading an old Tape-Op interview and I'm really digging it.

Listening now. I think that's the same R2R machine I'm trying to decide if I need. Teac 40-4. Also Tape-Op is sweet. Just got my print issue yesterday. Can't beat the $0 subscription price.

I was wrong. I think that picture is an A3440

That album was made on that recorder, which is why it's on the cover. Not sure if you can read it without a sub, but here's the (very short) interview.

Also, I've been signed up for a few issues now but have never gotten a physical copy. I bought the box set, though, so I can at least access all of the back catalog and podcasts/recorded interviews. It's given me a lot to listen to and read over the past few months.
