Ocelot mkII

So, got this thing wired. Classic, bumpin OC-2 grooves... But, I'd totally forgotten about the volume drop, especially when you're going for wet-only sounds.
So my request for a mkii is this- a booster at the output stage. I don't have any clean boosts currently built, but I think a SHO type would be easy enough to add

That'd be awesome! Maybe even converting the output buffer to an LPB - type boost could work?

That'd be awesome. I love the circuit, but the volume drop is a huge drag.

I was thinking the SHO might be better in that slot simply because the LPB-type does introduce quite a bit of distortion, whereas the SHO has significantly more clean headroom. Either way, I'm looking forward to what you come up with

I don't know if you use the oct2 but I left it out on my recent ocelot build. I forget where I read it but according to somebody, a common mod was to cut that and the direct pots out which for whatever reason made the solo oct1 louder. My whole board has been torn apart so I haven't had a ton of playing time on that unit yet but it seems louder than the one it replaced. Like I said though, I haven't had it long enough to do a side by side yet.

Yeah, I've seen that mod, but I do wanna keep all three pots operable.

Gonna screw around with R3 and R25 tomorrow. Otherwise, I do have a few micro-SHO boards I can fit into the enclosure

I just want it to be known that this comment does not mean that I'm not interested in a super ocelot. Would build.

I want a SUPER-DUPER Ocelot that has the square-wave synth mod, the dry kill on a footswitch and ... something that nulls the second down octave so I can use that 3rd knob for the synth or something else, like a clean 27v boost or MXR Micro-Amp boost (agree LPB-1 is NOT the boost for this circuit, but then not sure about the SHO either; for this, I think I prefer an op-amp boost.


ALL THE OC-2 MODs!

I will name it Babou and it will piss all over the rest of the band-mix...
