Is this using the "Tommy" PCB? I have that one on the shelf waiting to built. Sounds great! I had the MXR Mini Timmy for a while that didn't do much for me. Your pedal sounds a lot better.

I think it's the result of the arrangement between Cochrane and MXR to mass produce the V2? I dunno, hard to understand all the business arrangements because he also builds and sells the V3. In any case, when I briefly had the "Timmy" I just wasn't impressed. Maybe because I got "overhyped" by all the praise and was expecting the skies to open and hear angels singing.......Yes it is! ThanksIsn't the MXR Mini Timmy supposed to be a straight up clone or?
Hmmm never tried the V2 to be honest and I don't remember the differences by heart. Yes the fact that he still builds it is quite odd.
Overall from these past 2 years the Timmy was quite popular with local guitarists here in Malta especially those that like to cleanly push their amp into overdrive and have some EQ sculpting. The drive on the Timmy is also quite pleasant in the sense that a good amount of clarity is retained.
Personally I don't like the high gain switch however. It's too noisy.
