Pedal Industry Faux Pas

After seeing the Analogman and Fulltone, I was wondering what are some other faux paus in the pedal industry that have earned the ire of customers and hobbyists?

I never was into pedals until just a few years ago so I'm loosely aware of a few. For instance,

1. JHS stealing Devi Ever's Hyperion and his association with a controversial church.
2. Zachary Vex having a hostile attitude towards pedal hobbyists.
3. Devi Ever misappropriating donations to her gofundme and harassing the owners of Dwarfcraft.

What are some others? It's all fascinating in a sordid sort of way.

*Disclaimer* I know it's ironic to ask in light of my thread but please keep things civil (as much as is possible).

Stating that one type of metal enclosure is more beneficial to tone than another type of metal enclosure…
Again, I'm not clear on who you are talking about.
I read Analog Mike's description of the Beano Boost and he says the PTP circuit sounds better than any PCB.

Of course. But the question didn't include " .. and do you agree that it is justified?".

I wasn't bashing, just pointing out what might have earned him a spot in the thread.

You gotta admit though, four years (closer to five now) is a bit extreme. Hell the band might not even be together anymore by the time the pedal arrives. Jimmy quit and Jody got married. :ROFLMAO:

Without retreading what's been mentioned ...
Jack Deville's toxic feud with fuzzboxgirl (kind of a deep cut)
the story of the Clay Jones overdrive over on FSB is worth a read (the goose, the middleman sticky thread)
I find the builder backlash stuff on fsb comical whether that's Thorpy, Paul Cochrane, or Fuller.
There's entire books that could be written about JHS or Devi. Bottom line there is that Devi never learns and JHS learned to ignore it and never address it further.
I think Frantone has some very interesting things to say regarding the industry in some of her YouTube content.

I'd have to dig to find it but it was stupid and amplified by devi at the time (shocker) ...
and I'll say it, watching a fuzzboxgirl demo is peak cringe
