Pets of PedalPCB

There's a bird sanctuary not far from where I work, and I started going there more frequently a couple years ago to get a taste of nature in the city. The animals there are certainly used to people, but I didn't realize to what extent until I befriended this pair of Northern Cardinals. They have babies every year and I see them grow up and go off to live their lives over and over. I named them Crow and Gypsy after MST3K robots. I sometimes refer to them as my "wild pets", in that they'll always come find me when I show up there. They certainly don't need my safflower seeds but it's a nice little treat for them and the youngins. :)

Whaaaat?! I thought that was only in Disney movies! Super cool :) @rwl Get in here, this is your jam lol

After more than a year of feeding this stray cat, trapping her and discovering she was already spayed but not microchipped, making her a heated shelter (she sleeps on top of it like snoopy), and TNRing a couple aggressive interlopers, we're gradually earning her trust. She's tolerated me petting her a couple times while she eats. But she's really taken to my daughter:

Our hope is for her to move in permanently, but for now she's just expanding her range. Our 3 indoor cats are neither hospitable nor gracious about it, but the taking-turn-in-the-room-with-the-smells thing is going OK so far. None of this would be conceivably possible without the miraculous magic wand that is Churu.
