PSA: Moonn Electronics Sale

Thanks for pointing this out, finally picked up the Drömtydning (after figuring out what "1044" was, and if the weird op amp could be replaced by something easier to get) and also some other stuff (Interstellar Overdrive clone board and the Sojus 31 because it sounds weird).

I really hope he has his shit together. Last time I ordered from him, he really dropped the ball. Took three months to finally get my order. Even then, the packaging left a lot to be desired. He literally wrapped some of the boards with masking tape to keep them together. Left a rather sticky mess on the boards. Just wasn't very professional. Granted, he was very apologetic and admitted he was having some personal issues. Really felt sorry for him.

That said, if he's doing better then I sure hope he not only follows through with orders but ships them in a professional manner that doesn't result in potentially damaging the product. Just isn't good for anyone really. I like his stuff....but really want to make sure that orders are done right.

That sucks, I've only had good experiences. I too could do without the tape or at least less of it. Hope he's doing well now.

I'm sure most people have had good experiences...at least I hope that's the case. Mine was just a weird one I guess. But it definitely showed me that they guy was having some problems. I know a thing or two about depression, which is what he mentioned in some of our correspondence. Definitely not fun and really hard to cope with at times. So, yeah, I really feel for the guy and hope he is doing much better.

Healing vibes to him and anyone else struggling.

Just grabbed a Drömtydning too after debating over it for a couple of weeks! This old thread suggested a TL022 or LM358 for the MC33172P, or I might just roll the dice on these.

Only good experiences here. Nils is a good dude. Ordered from this sale and a bunch of other times and always got extras included for free. They take a bit to arrive sometimes but I'm not really ever in a rush when ordering anyways. Every PCB I've built of his fired up first shot and were all fun builds. Regarding the shipping, I suppose folded pieces of paper would work fine to hold the PCBs steady when shipping but I've never had any issue removing masking tape from anything. Peels right off and any residue rubs off with a microfiber cloth pretty easily. I'd rather have that though, instead of just thrown into an envelope loose for the entire journey. Either way, he's got a bunch of cool clone PCBs with some having different/unique mods.

Yeah, Nils definitely does a cool thing. He’s got his own flavour in what he stocks, and I love the build docs!
I think it's kinda funny how the descriptions are all long and rambling but the build docs are sooo basic sometimes having to decode things. Lol.

If I ever get caught up, I'd love to build some of the Moonn DBA stuff
I've built almost all of his dba boards and they're all alot of fun. I Recommend.
