I'd try some compressed air and deoxit or electrical cleaner first. Especially if it's a Switchcraft.

I've pulled it and cleaned it a couple times but it always goes back to acting up pretty shortly afterwards. I think the contacts might be physically out of whack rather than oxidized. Sometimes it works fine.
I've been meaning to replace it for a while, I just never have the time to fool with it.

But they have good prices on Celestion speakers and free shipping is handy on speakers. I live in Australia, have the free shipping subscription and order my speakers from Stewmac. Sometimes I'll pay the extra $20 for express. Last week I ordered two G12H Creambacks, paid the $20 for express and they arrived before the week ended. That is great value! But then I do buy a lot of speakers.
It's handy for tolex too. Their prices for tolex are just ok but the shipping for tolex can be extreme, which is what makes Stewmac my place for tolex and grill cloth. I just wish they had a better range.
