Pumbaa Distortion issues

Hey gang, having weird issues with this pedalpcb Pumbaa Distortion, aka Thorpy Warthog. The volume knob and Calibre knob work as they should. But the Gain knob barely makes an audible difference, and there isn’t practically any gain audibly. And the tone does nothing at all. I’m just not seeing where the issue lies here.

1. People are going to want to see a clear shot of the back of the board (to look for soldering issues, etc.).

2. I see the build document calls for red LEDs - that usually means diffused red LEDs. The ones you have look clear, which makes me think they may be more like those red waterclear LEDs, which might give unexpected results due to different forward voltage or whatever.. But others more knowledgeable can chime in on that.

C5 is much too large. It's supposed to be 1n, you've loaded a 1u

It also looks as if you have uses thin tape to insulate the back of the pot that is under the board. I know from experience that cut component leads can pierce even pretty thick/strong tape very quickly.
