Hi,
I’m finishing my first FV1 build, and I just noticed that I miss 1 electrolytic capacitor (1u) for C9.
Can I use a MLCC capacitors of the same value instead?
I only have a couple of MLCC left for that value.
Do I necessarily need a polarized cap in that position cause one leg is going to ground? Sorry for the basic question, I’m still learning the basics
I’ll finish it up tomorrow (it’s 2 AM in Europe), but I’m still waiting for the EEPROM to arrive next week.
In the mean time, can I somehow test if the MLLC will work and spare me a parts order for 1 single missing capacitor ? If not, I’ll just but some more caps
now that the ”issue” has been sorted out, what’s the general purpose of polarized caps in pedal circuits? I noticed that in this build electrolytic are used only when connected to the ground. Is it just a design/shape/price choice or usually this configuration has a function?
