My pedalboard so far:
Rub an dub verb into
Behringer vibrato
Green Ringer
Chop Shop
Nein/ cast iron
Rubberneck delay

The fun pedals are vibrato green ringer and oscillation/Rubbernecking delay. Works great with jamming with drumcomputers beats etc.
Looking for more fun. Any recommendations?

I mean... if he wants to get weird and into synthy drum stuff I'd say go for a rainbow machine.. you can get lost in that guy for a while doodlin around.... Big fan of the boss slicer too when I had one for noise making.

If you want something a bit 'out there', but not unusable (like Fairfield Circuitry), I'd consider a lovetone pedal.

This synth-y rIng modulator that can go all the way into octave fuzz, would be my first recommendation.

Or there's a phaser, flanger, drive, envelope filter etc. None are vanilla... All are fun.

All great suggestions so far.

I'll suggest Prunes & Custard for some quintessentially-unusual d(ess)irt... PPCB Curds & Whey

A Vox Repeat Percussion modded to go into pseudo ring-mod territory ... PPCB Woodpecker

GLITCHEE would be good — MBean's mashup of the EQD Bit Commander (octave-synthy) and Seamoon Funk Machine (quackery at its duckiest). MBean is out of stock, and replenishing with a GlitcheeJr which I think foregoes the envelope filter. You could roll your own "Glitchee" with the PPCB Captain Bit and a different flavour of envelope-filter from PPCB.

What I really came in here to suggest was the Oberheim VCF, otherwise known as a Filter/Sample/Hold — PPCB Minnow

Anyone who owns a rubberneck is entitled to my utter respect! This pedal is such a jewel of engineering...

To build you could have fun with an octave down in the feedback loop of the delay, maybe the boss OC2, I think it's a pretty straight forward one.

If you're planning to play around, the deep blue delay is quite fun, change the frequency response, add delay lines, parallel, cascade, series, or even drop another effect before the feedback.
