The Grey Bench build video on YouTube was a huge help.

The enclosure is one of those limited runs by amplified parts. I had a lot of apprehension about dropping over $30 on an enclosure, but I’m pretty happy with it.

Transistors are 2n2222 with and HFE of 170.

If anyone knows of some good point-to-point pedal resources, let me know. It’s a lot of fun.

And yeah, I’m thinking I need to put a little heat shrink in the LED anode lead. That being said, the powder coating acts as insulation, so shorts are less of an issue

Beautiful build. Did your enclosure come with screws and feet? Seeing this build just reminded me to follow up with them since mine, and apparently some others, were missing the screws (though it sounds like maybe only mine was missing the feet as well)

Ok. I thought maybe I was just sloppy and lost the screws when I unpacked my order.

I used some self tapping screws that I had lying around.

You and Harry are making it very difficult to not spend $$$ on one of these enclosures.

That is a beautiful build! Good lord that enclosure is fantastic and that all pales in comparison to that PTP build. Really great build!

How did you select the HFE? Have you tried different values?

I found the schematic on another forum and some users on that site reported back that 170 was a sweet spot.

Grey bench settled on HFEs around 180
