Reverb with fv1 chip does it require programming?

I am wondering if the reverb pedals with fv1 chips need special programming to be useful. I thought if they had an algorithm preloaded that is all you need unless you want to roll your own. Is that correct?

Thanks

Yes and no?

Here you go:

i’m a big dummy and i have a question too.

i’ve glanced over that subforum, but it looks like everyone there is going over non-standard builds and custom coding and other stuff that confounds me entirely.

at this point i just wanna grab a ppcb deflector board (w/ FV-1 pre-soldered to board) and build it as intended.
am i correct to assume that:
- it comes with EEPROM chip already coded as needed.
- with it fully assembled correctly, it will just work and i don’t need to fuck with computer software to get it running?

That's correct.

With the exception of the FV-1 Development PCB and the barebones Arachnid / Pythagoras projects.
