Satch Boogie on a vintage Les Paul Special?

Nice. I was reading some guy (true or not) saying that he had Satch at his place for some reason (won a contest or guy knew a guy) and he got him to play on his beginner gear. He nailed it but said it was twice as hard because of the setup.

Best thing in that video is Vince on drums. Fav drummer!

Yep, you can find it I. YouTube. Satch was at a kids birthday party.

Those were some sick pinch harmonics.

Satch started his career as a teacher and quite often offered free lessons on a meet‘n‘greet. In my case it was at the Roseland in NY. He had his back stage equipment (made in the US Ibanezes and Fender Bassman RIs) for me and another guy. He let us play some things and then he offered some exercises to improve our skills.

I was a big Satch fan up through "Professor SatchaFunkilous and the Musterion of Love".
I took my then young sons to see him and we got backstage passes for a meet and greet. They got pictures with him and signed posters and stuff. They're still fans.

I kinda of lost track and lost interest in his music after that, but I've got the most tremendous respect for him. To be able to make a living doing instrumental Rock music for the whatever, 35 years he's been doing and have as much success is a rarity. He and Val both,

Satch's music was a middle ground for myself and some of my metalhead friends — something we could all enjoy.

Last time I saw him live though was in the 90s.

LOVE the LP he chose to play. Wrapper and P90s 🤘
