Si fuzz face jack issue?

Hello folks,

I'm having a strange issue with my silicon fuzz face. Short story to the build itself:

It was a germanium FF before but it died. I bought another pcb (iss.2 fuzz face) and new components to put a new silicon FF together in the same case. I wired everything according to the iss.2 wiring diagram on pigeonfx's web (https://pigeonfx.com/products/fuzz-face-iss2-pcb)...

Well I'm getting no sound when the pedal is on. Bypass is ok. When the pedal is on and I plug the input jack halfway in, I'm getting bypass signal...the volume pot works...the fuzz pot ain't responding, as nothing happens when tweaked...

What's wrong here? I really wired it exactly like the diagram

Posting pics is definitely key.

Getting sound from plugging halfway in could be a stereo jack wired to the wrong temininal.

Do you have the input and output jacks on opposite sides from the diagram? Are you plugging in that way?

No I just wanted to have the input on the pedalboard friendly side. The stereo jack is still the input

From the data sheet I looked at it looks like you hit the right terminals. I didn’t follow every wire, but the ones I did looked right.

What's the pinout of the transistors and what type are you using?

Most Si transistors that come readily to mind are CBE, but the Pigeon layout clearly shows BCE.

I‘m using bc183. So the collector needs to be bent to match the BCE layout. But I don‘t think the transistors are the issue
