The goofy tone deafness reminds me of a time during the first year of the Covid outbreak before vaccines were available and in person dining was prohibited. My wife and I ordered takeout from an expensive French restaurant for Valentine's.
The website purported much excitement for the chef's special menu for the occasion. It then went on a tangent strongly cautioning single people not to order because because the chef's time can't be wasted with smaller orders for one person.

One of my luthier clients is originally from Brazil and his $$$$ flagship bass line is called the VD, which he claims means "Victory Day." Or so he says, he has a really wacky sense of humor and I'm not completely sold on his explanation.
