Spatialist reverb issue

I put together the Spatialist (FV1 soldered on by PedalPCB) but am having issues. More doesn't work than does work.

1. Volume pot is functioning backwards....full left is max volume.

2. Mix pot acts as volume also, so I m assuming "max volume" on the mix pot is actually a full dry signal and "no volume" is full wet.

3. Top 3 pots do nothing at all.

4. Rotary switch causes no change, but I can hear a dull thud when I switch it. Causes no change to the sound and all sound just like it's bypassed.

I also included a screenshot of the oscillating crystal I'm using because I had some on hand. It's the same frequency as the one in the BOM but I got it from Tayda so it might not be an exact match. Wondering if that might be the issue because it seems like the FV1 is not functioning as it should.

It looks as if the central pin on the 8 way switch is badly soldered. It also looks as if one of the pins on that switch is not soldered at all - in fact it looks as if you may have lifted the pad - hard to tell in the photo though. That shouldn't stop power getting to the FV-1, but will become an issue down the track once you have got the FV-1 powered.

Which pad/pin? That's a new one for me.... What can I do about that, if anything?

Damn. I just saw my LED leg was touching one of the pots. I rechecked the FV1 and I have 3.3v on both those pins now...... That wouldn't explain the problems I'm having on it but just how I had it laid out on the table while checking that FV1 ground it apparently.
Check to see if its working now.

I think you were talking about the pin down and right of center, right? It does look unsoldered in that pic but it's just the lighting. Here's a better shot of it

The only thing that can think of might the foot board that @KR Sound mentioned before might be wired incorrectly.

Other than that you might want to reflow those joints. After take an audio probe and probe through the circuit.

Yeah that's my fear because its going to be a pain to desolder and flip. I'm going to wait to see if the guy from Stompboxparts emails me back about it's intended orientation but that seems like it's probably wrong. Thanks for all the help!

What orientation of what component?

You're not desoldering anything, only reflowing the joints to get a better connection.

Ok heres the orientation of your foot board. Reading this you definitely wired it wrong.
I had seen that on their site but I want sure what to do with the LED pad on the breakout board since the PCB has a spot for it also. I emailed the guy before I finished populating the PCB to ask and got this reply, which is what I had used to wire it

Youre correct then.

At this point again I would reflow the joints. If not then the least is audio probe the circuit. That should pin point any weak signals throughout the circuit and pin down the components that could be causing the issue.

The board could be upside down as well.

Ok probing it now and not a whole lot is going on. All is well till I get to the FV1 and then only pins 1 and 2 give me any signal. Anything downstream from that is silent. Also silent is the entire chunk of the schematic on the lower left with D1 in it.
