Squidward diode selection

I am going to build a Squidward, and I am looking to use up some parts. I have a few matched 1N60 diodes from a Distortion+ build, and I am curious if those would work in place of the 1N5158 diodes that the PCB calls for without changing other part values. I don't understand the electrical engineering side well enough to figure out diode substitutions myself - I'd like to learn though! I am good with math, if anyone would like to provide a formula or a concept I should research.

I’ve used 1n5817s in multiple builds of this style of circuit and they sound great. The only secret sauce is to make sure you measure their forward voltage with a multimeter and find two that match.

I've built two and always matched the Vf of the diodes and also matched the resistors and caps in the octave circuit just because I could. Alays got a clear octave and no noise.
