p.s. I love Mike Watt. Saw him play in early 90s (Firehose gig) and he broke a string slappin' da bass. He can be a monster on bass.

I'm not a bass player, but that video has me gassing for Mike's Reverend model.

Yup, I've seen him show up on several "best bassists ever" lists, absolute monster player, but absolutely the nicest, down to earth guy you'll meet. He still jumps into threads on TalkBass from time to time and talks about his Sushi Box Finally and Space Heater. Fun fact for the tube rollers, Mike Watt uses 12AY7 in his pedals instead of the stock 12AX7 I usually put in.
