Tayda 2399

Years ago people always warned if buying 2399’s from tayda and I’ve always avoided it. They are cheaper than anywhere else by a chunk and well I need resistors and enclosures so anyone got anything negative or positive to say about them recently

I bought a boatload from Tayda expecting to pitch the bad ones, but they have all been fine so far. I also bought a few from small bear and have auditioned both varieties in delay circuits. I didn't notice much of a difference between the SB and the Tayda variety. The 2399s start to give you trouble at long delay times, there is a trash can sort of distortion on the repeats. When I build a delay pedal, I usually test a few chips out to minimize this.

all the ones i’ve bought from tayda have worked fine.
they’re cheap enough to grab multiples of in case you get a dud

6 or 7 years ago (when Tayda resistors still had very thin legs), I got a lot of bad 2399 from them. But more recently it's been fine.

Thanks guys, one of those things that was probably an issue 10 years ago that I read and just avoided it due to that.
