Recently I saw a promo online for the TC Electronics Plethora 3. I think it looks killer. It's almost everything I could want from TC in a delay/reverb kinda unit. I don't need their ODs and distortions -strangely enough I seem to have rather a lot of those...
But for me it would be better as a Plethora 2. I never use modulation except rarely on a reverb when I want to express my '80s dark side. I have been there, done that with chorus, having gigged through the '80s! So all I want is a delay and a reverb, preferably with a few memory patches. And I want the unit to be as small as possible - 1590BB tops. Right now I'm using a Universal Audio Starlight delay and a Flint, having abandoned the Source Audio Collider. I am tempted by the TC Plethora 3 because it's a reasonable price, I like TC delays, it's not some huge box, and I'm sure it has way more capability than I could ever use.
But I'd like it a lot more as a Plethora 2! I don't need three. I guess it's a bit weird that for someone who is as obsessed as me with building and tweaking pedals that I actually use so few. C'mon TC - make a Plethora 2!
