Template dump in the Tayda area

If anyone is interested I can post general 3, 4, 5. And 6 knob templates for Ppcb and aionfx. 95% of the time it’s one of those. There are a few variations where Robert uses a 3 knob template then adds switches where pot 4 or 6 would be on a 6 knobber. If it would be helpful just let me know.

3 knob master template is up. It shows all 3 switch positions I have come across so far on a standard PPCB 3 knob design.

Okay folks if you have outstanding drill templates you are looking for I am going to try and start working through them. If you are the one who requested it I will DM you when I get to it. I will need you to get a few measurements for me so you will need to have the board in hand. No pictures please. If a build doc has numbers great. I will use it but I like to verify on the actual board. I need you to pull out a ruler and I prefer mm. If i post a template in the Tayda area I will also be able to give you the illustrator ai file for artwork if you like. Its part of my process. Please post request per the norm in the request area. I will likely let it sit for at least a week or two before I do this for you. Someone else may already have it and I want to give them time to respond. I am really good at this but like most diy use at your own risk. I am going to do this because I like it and the number crunching helps me manage my stress and anxiety. I am going to cross post this in the Tayda area as well. If thats not okay plase remove it Robert. I kust thought more people might see it in the general forum.

I am wondering if you've verified any of the Parasit templates yourself? I've got a few of them unboxed (e.g.Theremin), but wanted top jacks so if the template is verified for these that would be awesome. Unfortunately, the Parasit boards mostly have the pots installed "upside down" (legs to the top of the board). For the U-235, which is the only one I boxed, this means that I had to position the board lower in the enclosure, since otherwise the top jacks would hit the capacitors and trimpots on the top side of the PCB.

I do wonder if I could rotate the pots 180 degrees and bend the legs, jumpering them to reverse the pins, to get more space... then they'd be laid out like a PPCB pot.

So with tayda? No. I have made most of the projects though. They do vary from board to board as to which way the pots are oriented. That was taken into consideration on all the templates I have posted. I have those boards in hand and checked against an actual box except the phaser and cv (they are in the mail). Plus I use 125b ‘s instead of the 1590b which gives you more space and allows for the top mount jacks easier. In a 1590b it would be difficult for some of them to have a top mounted jack setup. One like the u235 would be possible but tight. The pot would awkwardly toward the middle as well (personal opinion). Go with a 125b and its not an issue :) i am planning on ordering them all though and will mark verified when I do. On the u235 if you rotate the pot you are going to hit the switch. Thats why he has it going the other direction.

For future reference to if you do want to flip a pot like that you are better off clipping the outer legs and just running small wire across. the center leg will hold fine.

The theramin is in the same category as the u235. 125b, no problem with top mounted jacks. 1590b will work with top mounted jacks but the board will be further down and the knobs will awkwardly be in the middle. So while there is space its not really a good option. They were laid out with the intent to have side mounted jacks in a 1590b
