The choice I was faced with today - Leslie

I ended up getting the Strymon. I’ve never owned one before and I was so impressed with all of its features now if I can only send it to @Robert so he can trace and learn the algorithms or whatever the hell is going on in here. The Rotosphere was pretty one dimensional in comparison to this but cool. 799 at Cream City Music in Brookfield WI.

I've still never owned a strymon pedal. Surely I'm not the only one in here? I have 3 chase bliss pedals though lol. I gotta try some strymon stuff out sometime!
My first! I have always been an analog snob until I started building the FV-1 pedals. This Lex is well done!

Based on a friend's NAMM experience, which didn't earn points, haven't felt like getting one. But could be the show stress was getting the better of them. Might borrow one of his that my build replaced (sorry, have to brag when I can 🥲).

Not nasty, like Boss was to him… abject ridicule of one's pedalboard contents is …certainly a sales technique(?)

You never get a second chance to make a first impression

I’ve never owned a Strymon pedal either but did own one of the old Damage Control tube pedals which was supposedly Strymon before they went digital. Thing was huge but sounded great!

Boss and/or Strymon mocked your friend's pedalboard? What's he running? 29 Pedals?

No, Strymon weren't mocking. They asked what he had that wasn't theirs. Seriously, most of his board was made up of their pedals. But the sales bros just kept pushing the point.

I was somewhat hyperbolic, in that I didn't knock them off, so much as he has to make room to accommodate mine.
