Thermionic Dist Main LED Location?

Hi all, I'm a newbie and I got the Thermionic Kit from Musikding, and I'm a little lost on where the main LED that shows outside of the enclosure is wired to. The couple kits I've done so far had the LED drilled right above the board, but the Musikding pre-drilled enclosure has it between the main board and the 3pdt mini board. I thought on the schematic though that I should wire it to the board where I circled near the bottom, is that correct?

Yup, that's the place. You can just run some wires if the LED leads don't reach.

You have a DIP-8 socket upside down, just to be aware.

Oh shoot, I didn't realize the sockets had a direction, I thought only the IC chip itself had a direction

It doesn't matter, but it could mess you up if you aren't aware of the IC orientation.

Ah ok, I always double check the build doc for where pin 1 is before mounting the IC chip in the socket, so I should be good

I guess I have one more question. Are both of these open/unlabeled pads negative/grounds like shown on the wiring diagram, or is the left open pad next to the red wire a second positive pad?

Both are ground pads for the input and output jacks.
