I needed a good flanger, and figured I'd try my hand at building one. I picked up the PCB Mania "Electric Lover" board and got it together. I decided against the effects loop on this one, so I ended up having to jumper it and reset one of the resistors so I had full range on the bias pot. After the initial build it worked, but I got nothing until one of the trimmers was already half way turned.
The built itself wasn't that bad, and it only took me about 10 minutes or so to dial it in by ear. One of these days I'm going to get the oscilloscope going.
For the enclosure (Tayda UV Print) I decided to go with the original pedal name "Electric Mistress" and go firmly tongue in cheek on the art... The LED is bright blue as well... of course...
All Halo jokes aside, honestly it's a great pedal and has pretty much lived permanently on my pedal board since I got it built... which is saying something because I've built a metric crapton of pedals.
Initial build at the blog - and then there's an update when I added the jumper to the send/receive loop and changed the value of R10.
