I haven't built a straight up TS yet (seems a travesty) but I have built a Golden Pearl (from HamishR's layout) and a Paisley Drive, both of which are based on the venerable TS.

I don't have gut pics, the Golden Pearl isn't boxed yet, but the Paisley Drive is.

FWIW I would pick the Pearl over the Paisley but I'd be happy with either.

Here's my Creeper from back 10 years ago when my son was really into Minecraft. Sadly, the most I can say for offboard wiring skills improvement is that I use zip ties now! I didn't realize the diode switch was on/off/on (and is probably wired wrong) so somehow the middle position is super loud and overdriven. It sounds good though so I left it as-is. It's a Son of Clay Jones Overdrive, which is a tweaked Son of Screamer. Definitely in the Tube Screamer ballpark, but 100% more Minecraft. Also, decals on the sides really is a PITA.

My first build and only tube screamer. BYOC. My design aesthetic hasn’t changed much, but at least my soldering has gotten better! Nothing has matched that feeling when I first plugged it in and it… actually worked!

Thank you! It was really fun to build, now I'm reading forums preparing for my next proyect. No kits, etched board and buying all the parts myself.

My current OD building spree includes a tube screamer. Green gage overdrive board from PPCB. With the little guys spastic art, I accidentally stumbled upon if you spray your second coat of clear too early you get this weird textured bubble thing I did it on purpose here thought it fit with the paint. Which the non toxic kid safe whatever kind of paint he uses didnt work as well in the glossy rattle can as the flat
