Twin Face trimmers

Hello I am wondering what the trimmers on the twin face are adjusting and if there is a recommended setting? I suppose tone will vary based on gain levels and how tight the components all are within their tolerance levels however I just thought I'd ask because I finally got around to building 2 twin faces successfully.

They're for biasing the transistor. Usually, you aim to get about half the voltage (4.5V) on the collector of the second transistor.
