Valhalla won't turn on

Hi,
Just finished my build and I my pedal won't turn on! I checked the wirings, try to switch some wires etc but it still doest work.
Maybe someone could give me a hand with this šŸ˜

For starters I think youā€™ve got your input and output jacks wired wrong. Also check your power Jack. It should be center negative which means that your negative/ground wire should be connected to the center pin terminal

Ok so I rewired everything today and it works !!!! I struggled but it sounds great now. Thanks a lot for your help :)
I have a last question, since I bought a pre-made kit for this PCB I didn't receive any "C25k"pot but only "B25k" (the other pots are correct), are C25k and B25k the same and if not, is it a problem ?

This is not my area of expertise as Iā€™m at maybe intermediate level. These pots have the same resistance but different tapers. The ā€œBā€ taper is linear. If you were to look at a graph, the line would be a 45 degree straight line. ā€œCā€ taper is reverse log. Same as ā€œAā€ taper except reversed. It will behave differently. Not saying it wonā€™t work because it may. The sound will change at different locations as you turn the pot. Hopefully someone with a little more expertise will chime in.

you will get the same sounds across the range of a B taper pot that you would with an A taper or a C taper. The B taper is linear, so 50% of the change takes place in the first half of the rotation, and 50% in the back. The other tapers shift some of the range so that one-half turn of the pot gives you more control over a smaller percentage of the change in the resistance, and the the other side of the pot gives you bigger changes in resistance for a smaller part of the rotation of the pot. That is usually done to give you more fine-tuning over either the lowest or the highest part of the rotation. In general, using a B taper pot will work fine.

C25K are hard to find. C20K is a better sub than B25K for the C25Ks in this circuit. The Deep and Pres bunch up badly on the rotation with linear pots.
everything is relative. I would certainly use the c20K over a b25K if I had it, but someone with an all-parts-included kit might not want to wait and pay to order the part as a separate order.

You could use a greater than or equal to C50 and bridge a resistor across 1-3.

but....now I understand...it was die AusrĆ¼stung

I didn't see all the replies ! Thanks a lot guys !!
Yeah I bought my kit from Musikding

Otherwise my pedal now works, but there is a huge high-pitch sound when I leave the pedal on without playing anything. It happens as soon as I set the volume a little too high (I set the gain at the maximum). Do you have an idea of where this could come from ? Just to be sure I didn't make an error again ^^

I believe that was corrected on the latest version that was released. IC4 was changed to L78L12 (canā€™t remember what the previous one was but I believe itā€™s what you have installed). In other words I believe your board is working as it was intended on the earlier pcb design which is what you I think you have there. You may be able to just change it to an L78L12 as I think that was the only change but Iā€™d get clarification from someone more in the know than I before you do.

edit: check this out, looks like you may be able to stick an L78L12 in there after all:
