I have taken sometime to work on some new ideas for pedals and this is something I have wanted to do for a long time. Problem is now that I have done this fade on the pedal and knobs I am going to have to do it on every pedal, or at least coloring the knobs. It is making me rethink how I want to do lettering and what the hell do I paint on here? The original idea might still work but do I want to cover up the glorious florescent orange fade..... I am in crisis because I have a few crazy colored pedals and the knobs are not nearly cool enough, my brain is melting.

Happy Sunday gentlemen, this is why I dont sleep.

Thank you all for the kind words but lets talk about lettering.

What are you all thinking? I was thinking about doing my normal white and black lettering but then trying to do the fade on the white. Might be kind of hard with a brush but would be worth it. This pedal is mine so I don’t mind spending weeks on the minutiae.

I wish the clear coat wouldn’t have eaten holes in the finish….

Could you use a stencil and do a reverse gradient for the letting? I’m sure it would be difficult but it might be worth it if it’s not too busy looking.
I have only used a stencil once but I think i understand what you are getting at and I like it

The gradient gives a nice 3D effect. For the lettering, you could try doing your normal lettering with a shadow effect. Make them pop out.
