What’s on *YOUR* workbench?

looks like something I'd pull....
Today's project since I had that motherlode come in... a Small Clone, clone got 95%... paint drilled out and missing a resistor, part of a DigiKey order coming Friday... saw I missed ordering 1 resistor BUT.. I had 2 others laying around wired in series came out like... gads not enough 0's but only 2 ohm under the BOM, out of 5 digits..

Ooh that's lovely... impeccably neat as all your other projects are. Do you have a schematic of the circuit?

(PS I'm Rich from Basschat, hi! Just joined, don't know why it took me so long to find this place )
Hi Rich,

I'll be posting it in my Talkbass WIKI open source preamp pages in the next few days, along with a board share on OSHPark. There are a few more circuit tweaks I want to try before I do that, especially since some of my preferred opamp choices have finally been coming back into stock quite recently. There are Basschat guys in the UK and Finland who will be helping with parts sourcing over there, BTW.

And then I'm exploring having @Robert do up one or two of my designs here sooner than later... ;)

Pic is of a mod to an existing circuit: have it stock or with a little bassification, or a BUTTLOAD OF BASS!

Trying to squeeze in as many builds as possible before my work space disappears.
Here's a Caesar. The missing 8n2 cap is coming in the mail. Then it'll be months before I design and order the enclosure.

Next up is a Tone Bender Mk 1

This is my favorite fuzz, I hope I don't screw it up when I add the transistors as those are the only 3 in my stash that work.

And now I have to take a break because my soldering iron is taking a nap.

Duo-Phase.
It took longer to assemble the kit in separate bags than to solder all the resistors. I think I'm 5 hours in. Yes I'm slow but I'm not confident in my ability not to screw up. In fact I started populating 4k7 resistors where the 47k go but since I quintuple check everything I caught my mistake before soldering.
I have to order 470nF MLCCs because the film caps I have will never fit. So annoying.
I'm going to use unmatched GM5516 photocells.
This pedal also will only be completed in a few months when I design and order the enclosure. I have 5 or 6 boards ready to go once the big Tayda order comes in.

Soooo many tl072’s $$$. (Built mine when nobody ever thought a tl074 would cost more than .49 cents).I like the Duophase more than my Electrovibe. I know, different sort of modulation, but you can def cop univbe sounds out of the DuoPhase.

I have a stash of TL072s bought before the price hike. And the Electrovibe is next!

I love this little amp. I had one when I was a kid and somewhere along the way we parted. I found one during lockdown for $75 and spent a bit of time getting it back to snuff. I reattached the speaker cone but knew I'd replace it at some point so it's waiting for a WGS Reaper 30 in a few days. These are kind of sleeper amps. Solid state and a love-it-or-shove-it tone but a very unique voice. PXL_20221016_214621480.MP.jpg
