What’s on *YOUR* workbench?

All the illusion finishes from prismatic are awesome, I would highly recommend "fractured illusion cherry", that's always been my favorite. It's a neat textured look before the clear coat, but when the clear coat goes on it's absurdly cool.

You know what’s crazy I literally was just looking at that as I’m on the prismatic website right now!

I’m looking at reds as well. That fractured vein look underneath is incredible! Let me ask you, after powder coating the clear coat on will in leave a smooth surface to screen print on? Looking at the pic it looks like it does!

Yup, with the clearcoat on it's completely smooth and glossy. It's a really neat one.

Also "Chicago Lights" has become my go-to clearcoat, which has colored sparkles in it, so using that on top of illusion base coats is a neat way to get slightly different looks out of the two-coat finishes. "Fire Lights" is another really cool one, that has red and gold sparkles, and that on top of illusion apple sugar looks INCREDIBLE.

Powdercoating is a rabbit hole all its own :P

Ahhhh perfect!

Have you tried Merlins Potions? You need super chrome plus as a base but man it looks killer! Im about to go check out Chicago Lights and Fire Lights! Ive been wondering how different finished clear coats work with the Illusion series, thats awesome to know i can experiment and come up with unique finishes!

Ever since i got the new system Ive been going crazy looking at all the colors i feel like i can achieve now :ROFLMAO:

I haven't tried Merlin's Potion but I do use Dirty Magic regularly which is similar, just with blue sparkles instead of gold. Prismatic recommends it against a chrome base, but I've been spraying it right over the raw aluminum and they turn out great.

Well looks like I will be taking my chances with Merlins potions and a few of those clear coats!

Ive looked at Dirty Magic as well and I love that one! Prismatic Universe is another!
