Update on my friend's Kustom, a few days ago...
These carbs are to go on the engine... but those plans may change.

Body off the frame, the engine about to be pulled so the chassis can get media-blasted.
While I was away, the Ford fenders were grafted to the Chev nose, and are also going to get blasted.

Today the cab was tilted back and I was tasked with cleaning up the underside:

Had to do some welding, my second time ever, and ... wow I suck at it.
First time welding I was tacking together square pipe much like you see on the bottom of the cab.
Today I was tacking together sheet-metal and ... it's a whole different thing trying to get thin metal to melt together with other thin metal.
So, lotsa grinding — more welding, lotsa grinding — more welding, lotsa grinding...
I wish my welding-practice was on my own car, as I want my friend's car to look good even though nobody will see the bottom once it's undercoated and the build finished... I'm very fortunate to be able to
butcher practice on this Kustom. Luckily for me (and my friend), it's to be a driver, not a show car.
