I finally have some real pics of my Rockman-ish pedal effort. First attempt at putting it together to check for proper mechnical fit. It's quite a 3D puzzle to assemble, due to some through hole parts sharing pretty much the same spot, but on opposite sides. One part, once soldered, can cover the pads of the part that goes on the other side, so if I stuff them in the wrong order, it's un-buildable. This is what I get for cramming all that stuff into a 1590B.
BUT... look, Ma, no wiring! The only two wires in the whole build are for the battery clip, and I'm trying to even get rid of those.

I cheated on that one, and got pre-soldered. But, normally I solder each pin individually

Had an old, early, build from my beginnings come back for some attention- I'd loaned this to a bandmate to try after I decided it wasn't going to work for me, and he really liked it so I told him to keep it. I few years later it's back because the signal had dropped out when engaged..
Opening it up, I saw this:
It stumped me the first time I looked, but I opened it today with fresh eyes and, "there's your problem, right there

All I did was chop the unused legs off of the pots, upgraded the 3d-printed footswitch washer to a metal one, and it's good to go back to Drew!

That makes me anxious just looking at it. I’ve never had luck populating the whole board first, I always got caught up in the leads like trying to walk off-trail through a thick forest.

T'aint no thang. How I always do it
Though, this is one of the most intense boards for my bulk soldering
I think the only ones I've had issue doing that with have been a few of the THCustoms boards

First time the working prototype is actually in its 1590B with all holes (badly hand-) drilled and all jacks and controls installed. I still have to finesse some mechanical details before it all fits in without using excessive force, but it's getting really close.
BTW, in your experience, what are the actual tolerances for Tayda's drilling services? 1mm is too loose for me, and 2mm completely unacceptable.

I very crudely knocked together this little pedal holder this morning so I don't have to use gaffer tape like last time to hold a pedal for making clips

I feel like an idiot for not having made something like this yet. Seems so obvious, but I always just shim one side of the enclosure until the top is perpendicular to the bit. Much more hassle- gotta make a few of these for the different common wall slope angles. Brilliant!

I made a design sketch in a notebook a couple years ago and thought I'd 3d print one but that never happened so I threw this together real quick this morning, knowing I'd want to make another revision later. It could be angled back just a tad more, so I put some rubber feet on the bottom part. I did make a clip using it this afternoon. I'll post that tomorrow

Just finished my first PedalPCB build: the Proposition (Rockman Ultimatum clone). I just had to build to see if it sounds beter than my own circuit (I still like mine better, but I'm biased 
. Tayda somehow sent me a white enclosure instead of the unpainted one I'd ordered, so here it is in a bridal livery.
BTW, I'll sell it, now that I scratched my itch. What should I charge so I don't undercut other people here who might be making them by the dozens? It's just a one-off, I won't make more.

Sell it for whatever the market will bear. It's just one, as you indicated, so I don't think you'll be undercutting anyone else. If anything, if you sell it for a lot, you're helping others sell their pedals for more.
