What’s on *YOUR* workbench?

Second pedal this week! This is the Frost drive, in case it's not obvious. This also fired up without issues (well, first time I had a grounding issue with the jacks due to not removing the powder coat, I did that on one of the jacks and that was instantly fixed) just like the Aberration fuzz, which is a nice boost of confidence after the Sugarbag disaster.

Also again thanks to @Passinwind for the suggestion to sand the LED's surface, it's a little bit of effort to get it smoothly sanded but I absolutely love the super diffused LED's without needing a bezel or anything.

cleaned a dirty tone pot for a customer
How does it feel to be a glorified dishwasher?
And look at that jar of jam next to the soldering station. So much for not eating around lead :)

The guitarist in a local trio has a Flying V, it really looks the part on stage. Too bad they play the blues haha. Is it better balanced than Explorers and Firebirds?

That's my garage workbench. The (empty, washed) jam jar is for gasoline dribbles, solvents, lacquers, or whatever else

Made some cables this morning from a few different plugs and cable types. Seems pretty easy enough. I might get creative with cable colors and heat shrink sometime, ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

I’m wondering if I should try to make some type of mechanical connection to the plugs with the center wires there’s not a whole lot of room in these.

Picked up this Kay 703C amp from a yard sale for twenty bucks. It's in nice cosmetic shape, except for the mouse nest stuffed inside the chassis. Cleaning it out revealed the intact original circuit. I'm planning to recap and install an isolation transformer later this fall.

Cute. I like it

So I’m playing around with this Red Ranger boost, and I’m wondering if it makes sense to be able to turn the volume down. Isn’t that against the purpose of it?

Not really. I use one from time to time to stay at a similar gain but tilt it in favor of the top end and dump a few lows. Can really add clarity especially if your amps already breaking up a bit or give you a clean sound with a bit of sizzle.
