What’s on *YOUR* workbench?

You have put the time and effort in, you really went all in to learn a craft and there is nothing I respect more than trying to push oneself to do the absolute best you can, and constantly improve. You earned it.🤜 💥
Dude i cant tell you enough how much a comment like that helps....It really puts everything im doing into perspective and i feel like im going in the right direction! Im going to continue to push harder and get better results! This forum is the sole reason i got into all of this. In all honesty its you guys that have been the biggest influence in not only my hobby but my will to push myself, so i cant take all the credit!

Those are beautiful @steviejr92.

We’re all here because we learned how to do a thing, but you went and learned how to do like 12 things. To be able to design, machine, fabricate, powder coat, and screen print an enclosure is a pretty rare set of capabilities. I’m not surprised at all that you’re seeing some demand.
Erik, Thank you for the kind words man!

In all honesty i just wanted to do the best that i possibly can do without outsourcing anything. I came onto this forum with the DIY mindset and thats how i want to run my little business. I really want to encourage other people to do the same cause its soooo possible you just need to work hard and do your best!

working on this Kawai stereo mixer that I use to blend effects, also I use it to listen to music and as a way to play into headphones. 1714330077829.jpeg
It’s gotten a bit fizzy lately I’m think it’s needing some new caps somewhere.

It also needs tons of replacement jacks. Not sure if these are aged, crappy or the person who owned it before was super rough but pretty much 1/2 or more are broken. Any idea if these metal collared jacks https://www.taydaelectronics.com/6-...female-connector-thread-lock-panel-mount.html are a direct replacement? The dimensions on the sheet seem the same.

Beyond the panel-mounting portion, they look pretty much identical to the linked jacks (which I've used on several builds). The panel-mounting portion is obviously different, but whether or not that'll matter to you is your call. Also, the linked jacks are mono and I'm not sure if the originals were mono or stereo so you may want to double-check that to confirm.

The originals are mono with a switch on the tip. I think I’m going to give those a shot and replace all the jacks on it with them.

Are these what you use on the I/O boards on your recent builds?

It wasn't on the bench for long, thanks to the excellent documentation and pics.

The Pauper. Really, this build was like painting by numbers. I can't say I am a pedal builder, more like an assembler. But I am now looking for the next build.

This isn't my first assembly project, but one thing has been consistent with all my projects and that is noise when I rotated the guitar pot completely off. Any thoughts?

Anyway, thoroughly enjoyed this project and amping up for the next one.
