Well now you have to make it work, you drilled the holes.Starting in on the Hydra delay this afternoon. Dry fit all the pots, switches… then realized I ordered a 1590BB instead of a BBS or BB2 from Tayda. Hmm well, gonna be a little tight on that power Jack! View attachment 92730View attachment 92731
Good stuff! I frequently use that as a finish in general for woodworking projects. One of my favorite productsGot a surprise on my porch this morning from @MichaelW he recommended this for fretboards when we were discussing what we use to hydrate and condition them.

I truly appreciate this and took the opportunity to try it out. My 335 was in need of a deep cleaning and new strings. Really liked how it made the board feel. Thanks Mike

I didn’t know Fryette ever made a pedal. Looked it up and it looks rad. I’d definitely build one if you were ever to put out a board for it!My guitar tech said this was the best dirt pedal he ever heard, so I figured I should snag a used one and see what the fuss is about.

Yeah I had never heard of it until this guy told me about it. It's well made, but it still didn't cost much used, so I don't think they did very well. I had planned to trace it as a potential C2C project, but now that I know what it is I have to decide if it's worth doing a project out of. It's literally a slightly modified Rat with an EF86 output stage instead of the JFET output buffer. You know, kind of like Lab Rat but with a different tube.I didn’t know Fryette ever made a pedal. Ah, well I already have a Lab Rat board in my backlog, so that definitely feels like this would be redundant!Yeah I had never heard of it until this guy told me about it. That being said the trace didn't take very long so I can put it back together and actually plug it in now.
The idea is that the Rat part of the circuit pushes the tube into clipping, so you are getting some tube drive. But after plugging in the SAS I'm not convinced it needs to be done. The EQ makes Lab Rat a lot more flexible, and I think the 12AX7 works very well so I don't feel the need to swap an EF86 in there.Ah, well I already have a Lab Rat board in my backlog, so that definitely feels like this would be redundant!
How much of a difference does the EF86 make, I’d imagine not a ton? The tube itself in those circuits isn’t clipping at all, right? Or at least not in the Lab Rat?
Not really on my bench but on my driveway…hopefully soon to be in the workshop
Hahaha!You bastard...Jealousy 110%!
You've come a long way from that Harbor Freight brake!!Not really on my bench but on my driveway…hopefully soon to be in the workshop!
It’s a cnc press brake! No more having to bend these enclosures by hand![]()
