Orange. The amps. Do you have one? Do you like it? What are the benefits and downsides? Talk me out of buying one.

buy it! You earned it! I only have a small orange solid state amp for practice but I love it. and it looks fucking great. Everytime I see a band live and think "ooo that guitar sounds good". its always an orange amp. I havent owned any of their big boy amps but I want to. I would probably get a Matamp but im dreaming. The history of the company is cool too. but mostly cuz they are sexy amps

Yes (Rocker 15 Terror)
Very much
Benefits: tone, fx loop. 4 output power optionsp
Downside: you’ll want them all
Heck no. You need a little (or big) Orange in your life.

My all-time favourite rock n roll overdrive sound is Orange’s OR15 cranked. The mids make me feel special. The little solid state combos sound good too as does the Terror Stamp

I had a Rockerverb 50 MKIII combo, and it was a hoss! Heavy as all get out... The Gain channel was amaaaaazing though, and one of the few amps I've sold that I actually miss. The only downside was the black tolex instead of the iconic orange; I bought it used so it was that or nothing.

I shall have another some day! It will be an orange-tolexed head-and-cab though.

It's the amp void. Every time you go in it gets harder to get out. And eventually you don't really want to get out.

There are some pretty sweet orange amps on the used market near me. I just need to convince the wife this is somehow necessary.... 😬

Orange amps are like beautiful high end furniture. They look great in any room and compliment any decor. And they have strong resale value. They are a solid investment all around. Especially if you find a good used vintage one. They are reasonably priced right now but I could see them becoming scarce and more valuable in the future.
