What size screws does Tayda use?

Hi everyone!

So Im having trouble finding out what size screws are used for the Tayda enclosures.... are they M3 screws? Not really sure.

Pretty sure they’re 6-32

Edit: Yup. 6-32. Just ran a tap into one to check. I also originally assumed they would have been metric, but I imagine it’s just part of making a faithful copy of a Hammond.

I had to buy this tap to ream out their powder coating overspray.

Yeah I’ve had this experience in that past with Tayda enclosures. Those taps are the handiest in these situations.

Thanks for this thread. I’m just now learning tayda seems to use a different screw than the other other enclosures I typically use. And I don’t know what I did with my little tayda screw baggy from this one.

I'm pretty sure there was a change over at some point for their enclosures because i had a bag of screws that only fit a 1590bb i got 2018/2019 and not my more recent 125Bs.

Future archaeologists will get the wrong idea if they dig up my homesite and find so many pristine baggies of 4 pedal screws that I have totally lost.

But I go to a local Ace Hardware and try screws until I find one that fits. It's been 6-32 but I think I have a couple (from a few years ago) that seem to be different.

Are they definitely different, and not just clogged with powder-coat? I’ve had a lot of that lately.

I often buy the ones on Amazon that come with the step bit, free shipping…. I don’t have a 6-32 tap and some screws at the hardware store to day
