What would you put in this enclosure?

Took an old power transformer from a 60s Panasonic am/fm cassette deck and thought it would make a sweet 1 knob pedal. Was bored so I drilled holes and gave it a little paint job today. Also it had epoxy in it that was a huge pain to get out! I’m leaning towards a clean boost or maybe a 1-knob mini muff. What would you stick in here? Just built a sun face germanium fuzz and a pt2399 delay and plan to make an EQD hoof at some point so leaning towards the boost option. What boost do y’all like?

That's super rad looking! I like the AMZ mini boost for it's one knob simplicity. I used a diy vero one for years and it was perfectly simple for running before or after gain stages to saturate or boost as needed. No frills, pure utility, and sounded clean...and boosty.

Thank you! Happy with the way the splatter came out. And awesome! Sounds exactly like what I’m looking for.

My favorite one-knobber is a Speaker Cranker. It's an electra distortion circuit that stacks amazingly with other drives.

I had never seen this pedal before and decided to give it a shot! This was my first non PCB build (and it shows) and used some perf board I found at work. I used 1n34a diodes from the old radio I’ve been continuing to gut instead of the prescribed 60’s. I socketed quite a bit of the components to get to play around with different cap values and clipping diodes as well. This was tough to fit in this little enclosure! Was definitely a learning experience. (Blew out 2 LEDs before I realized I forgot to put a resistor). Also, didn’t have a b5k pot. Used a b10k and put a 10k resistor in parallel. The range is the same but this treatment messes with the taper. I may eventually replace with a true 5k pot to give a wider usable range. Also Will tidy up the cabling once I finalize which components I’ll use but dang this thing sounds awesome!! Super stoked about this build and it was fun trying a new kind of building. Thanks for the recommendation!!
