What's for dinner?

I think the original recipe I adapted that said something about "once the dough starts climbing the hook" but I have to stand there and hold the mixer from walking off the counter cuz it's flapping into the sides of the bowl so hard.
🤣 thanks for the recipe! Do you fold the dough like a letter?

On the plus side you can boil water in like 2 minutes
I keep meaning to try my old homebrew burner out with my wok.
It maxes at 72,000btu.
But I can only imagine so many things will have to go wrong before anything goes right.
I did buy a pizza oven that was meant for a gas stove top and put it on at once. Turn it up about 40% and cook the pizza in under a minute and a half. Will burn a pizza in a minute and 40 seconds...

Yeah kind of. Its way too loose to fold it anything like an actual letter 😂 I also bake the loaf on a stone. I use a piece of cardboard as a peel and I use parchment paper to facilitate the transfer
Yeah I did the same. But in the book I have it said to fold it before the last proofing and I think I degassed at that point. I’m gonna try skipping that step next time.

Wok rings are more common than crop circles, you should be able to get one @giovanni .

Take your eyes away from the flame, the Ring is to the right. Should wok with induction, too.

Here's another style:

I couldn’t find the one for the induction from this shot. Do you think the regular circular one will work?

Depends on the size/shape of the wok. The ring and wok we have here is a no-go with our induction-range.
My friend has a wok and similar ring to the one in the picture that work on his inductor-stove, but for all I know he got them together. 🤷‍♂️

I've had gas stove-tops for more than a couple of decades, and before that was the old coil-element —
so it's taken some time to get familiar with induction.

Wish I could be more helpful. Best I can do is — as I'm on the lookout for a suitable ring for our wok/stove — I'll post here in the thread if I find anything.

Not sure when my next trip back to HK is, probably not til next August at the earliest, but I'll do my best!

PS: Maybe just go out for a wok to the shops, wok the walk, try some rings on for sizer.
Wok the hei, wok have you got to lose?

Hey, ahm wokking heah, ahm WOKking heah...

I’ve been making crispy fried rice for a bit. Tonight I sautéed garlic, habaneros, jalapeño and cabbage. Then I crisped up the already cooked rice. Topped it all with a fried egg with a slice of cheddar. It was quite tasty if I do say so myself!

Sorry for the terrible photo. Bad lighting.

Last night my mother in law took the kiddo overnight, giving us a chance to walk up the street to one of my favorite restaurants.

My wife is a vegetarian and I used to be one too, so I eat meatless most of the time out of convenience, so when we go out I usually get a steak.
