What's for dinner?

I might've already posted this in the past but this southern thai restaurant in my neighborhood that specializes in fried chicken with roti is unbelievable. Might be the best fried chicken I've ever had, it's encrusted in crispy shallots and coriander seed, comes with this thick rich curry for dipping. The roti is like a smashed thai croissant, just completely laced with ghee. Even the rice is uniquely dense and chewy in a good way.

Stop posting places you have that I don't, damn it!

Don’t give a shit about football, but around 20 years ago, my cousin gave all of the uncles sets of these football bowls, so now every year we make a big pot of chili, some scoop-cornbread, and watch the commercial.
This year’s chili features both ground beef and nicely browned chunks of chuck (an addition I started last year— makes it kinda a chili-stew hybrid), as well as plenty of beans, onion, roasted chili peppers and habaneros, and plenty of seasonings: garlic, ancho powder, chipotle powder, roasted cumin, lightly crushed mustard seeds, lime juice, and a hefty amount of 90% dark chocolate, just to name a bit.

My bowl started with a good scoop of cornbread, topped with plenty of chili, and then adorned with:
  1. Shredded cheese (Trader Joe’s Unexpected cheddar. Grated fresh— not the pre-shredded bagged stuff)
  2. Raw onion
  3. A little bit of sour cream
  4. A big drizzle of chili onion crisp
