What's in the mailbox? 📬 📦

I have a rumble 100 and I plugged the ports with polyfill and it tightened up the low end nicely..
much less boom.

But it is strange that both my P basses need to have the pickup raised so much close to the E string and lowered far from the G string.
See if you get the same response with your interface. I usually have to play with the pickups on my P bass too. I mostly play through a GK 212 at home and on stage, but I play through a Rumble 100 at practice. The Rumble definitely has a warmer sound than the GK (which is a Class D amp), but I struggle to get the bass to punch through the mix with the Rumble.

Yeah 100w are not enough with a full band. I struggle too.

It's loud enough. I just can't seem to get the frequency response I want out of it.

EDIT: I think it's just my set up. I've heard other bass players use the Rumble, and it sounds fantastic -- just doesn't work for me.

~2k silver micas. Have another ~100 incoming. Once they All arrive, gonna split them up and (hopefully)sale some lots here. 14 values from 33-560p plus 1100s. Still have to track down 22s and 220s. Maybe some 10s if I can find them at a good price. Hoping to hit a price 20-25 cents each(need to redo my math) depending on how much the 22 and 220s run. Hopefully some cats want them because this is a few lifetimes worth.

Yup loud gigs, rehearsals and DJ sets screwed mine. Since I started gigging again last year I wear ear protection at rehearsals and gigs now.
Yep, and it only takes one loud rehearsal to do damage. I've been playing for more than 30 years. When I was younger, I didn't give it much thought, but a couple of years ago I was jammin' with some dudes in their mid 20s -- they were all wearing those foam ear plugs (which I never have been able to stand), and I didn't have hearing protection (forgot mine that day). Anyway, after 2 hours of playing -- my ears hurt, and they haven't stopped ringing since that day. I wish I could go back to the beginning of that practice and tell them to turn down or put ear plugs in -- you can't undo the damage once it's been done.

Was always left of the drummer, and the one night I forgot my protection was the night we played the hardest. Used some rolled up tissues in desperation. Noticeably diminished hearing in my right ear. Just from that one gig.

Tinnitus flared up this last October after slightly easing out my protection to get the mids and highs at a cozy venue. Thankfully no noticable loss.

Those are badass. And expensive looking. Where’d you get em?
Gotta link?
About 1.50/ea on Ali

Note the 19mm and 22mm have the same size indicator, just a thicker bezel. I opted for 16mm as they're the most shallow. Also, they are chrome, not black chrome. They have an internal CLR as well.
I bought some of the tricolor 12v ones as well but they are common anode not common cathode as pictured which is good imo. If all 3 are connected, green will illuminate. Red and yellow will turn on simultaneously. Could use in a combo build. Of effect red, the other yellow, both orange.

That's not a bad price. I really like these, but I think they require a special pedal to go in. However, I can think of lots of other projects (not just pedals) where these would look great.

Never played a Boss MT-2 before so I never fully understood what all the can of bees memes and stuff like that are about. Someone sold this on the Austrian version of Craigslist for only 40€ (new they go for 125€) so I couldn't say no! 🤘

Similar story here. I’ve started using the NIOSH Sound Level Meter app on my phone all the time. Out of curiosity at first (my car seemed super loud on the highway and i wanted to get a sense for just how bad it was), and now as a preventative measure when seeing live music or whatever. I’ve even used it to convince a venue bartender to use his earplugs more often 😂

A couple years ago I got some of those Loop earplugs that are supposed to allow midrange sounds through so you can still hold a conversation. I’m skeptical of the company’s claims, but they aren’t nearly as disorienting as those orange foam earplugs and they’re comfortable enough that i find I’m more likely to use them. The attenuation isn’t enough for, say, a punk show in a small venue, but probably good enough for tamer situations.

Bought this lot of 8 more-or-less unfinished pedals for 107€ shipped. Apparently all of them work, except for an Electric Lover (from that site), which based on their FB group might be due to the wrong kind of BBD chip? But possibly also not. And one of the two Deadastronautfx delays apparently has been cannibalized for parts at least.

It includes the first tube pedal I've ever had, although they said "the controls don't do much". I looked at the build docs and apparently it should have four pots? Will have to see what's up with that. I'm planning on fixing them up and selling the ones I don't care for (plus some other pedals I have).
