Oooh I see. I’d file that sucker down a hair since you know that’s the problem. Some of my cheaper guitars are the best playing ones. I refuse to buy expensive guitars. Not that I could if I wanted too lol. Keep is updated on this.

Playing at the 21st or 22nd fret is fine, but playing any of the other frets is the hard part. Because the fret is high, any of the flatter notes catch on that fret and don't sustain. Any guitar solo is impossible to play with a nice low action

Is just the one fret that’s high or is the bottom of the neck that comes up? The latter is a pretty common issue in strats unfortunately.

I ordered a cheapo set of 1uF SMD electrolytics to try, from AliExpress. Looks like they got a mix-up as they sent me a bunch of 1uF 630V Film caps instead. Lol.


(The label even says SMD electrolytic!)

New challenge: try to fit one of these into a build

This is why I let a professional do my setup. $35 bucks for a perfect low action guitar? I have no problems on any fret from high to low on any of my 35 guitars. I think it's 35. May be 36. I'm not counting anymore. At 70 years old I wouldn't remember how many for more than a day anyway, lol.....

Aliexpress is pretty good at giving a refund at stuff like this in my experience, but to be fair, it might not be worth it if it was just two dollars or something.

$35?!? It’s $150 minimum in Brooklyn… which is why I learned to do the setup myself.

Finally got my shipment from SmallBear (USPS is sofa king slow). A new Pt2395 to fix a dead DanEcho and a bunch of random transistors to plug into a Marigold Fuzz, Lunar Module, and CBD Screwdriver-thingy. Waiting on Digikey to get the last bits to finish almost all the projects I have (to rock) before boxing.
