I use the same mic to do exactly that!

Low profile, sounds good, takes up very little room, set it and go.

I really want a stand that you attach to the cabinet to avoid being bumped but they are like $75 and I am too cheap.

You mean like this thing? I was going to buy one but I've heard they are bad because the mic will vibrate too much and mess up the sound but idk. Plus I guess I'd need a gooseneck attachment too so I can mess around with mic placement some more.

At my friend’s practice space, I have a combo amp sitting on a k&m amp stand, with a boom attached to it, and a mini boom attached to that. It gives me the two right angles to point a mic in front of the grill without an extra stand. Not cheap, but nice to have.

Exactly that.

As for the vibration, I guess I could see that but I am terrible at guitar so that would be the last thing a listener would notice.
