What's in the mailbox? 📬 📦

I’ve had nothing but bad experiences buying anything 3d printed. Too many people slinging photoshopped pictures of sloppily made unusable trash to make a quick buck.
This is what I've always feared. I've basically had to make my own, but then again, I mostly enjoy the tinkering experience and I'm doing my own mods, and on 1590B.

This pedalmith 1590a jig that came in the mail yesterday immediately busted. It’s very rigid plastic and it’s almost too tight to fit. It looks to be a 3-D printed item. I had high hopes. I see another issue if this thing would’ve worked… the holes are too small for a center punch. 🧐
Looks like there's not enough infill. Can't tell from that sample what pattern they were using, but gyroid is lyfe. Also, is this the thing they basically stole and sold? IDK maybe they had permission, but then again it's CC-A license. I could take a crack at it to see what could be done.

Have you reached out for refund? Looks like dudes whole business is selling jigs. I doubt you are the first person to have this issue. Hopefully, refund isn't too much of a headache.

i am trying epoxy. Maybe it does not work but I will try rather than jamming the guy up with a return.

They do need a bit of spring, maybe petg or nylon. I've done ones with ears before and they just always snap, so I've just given up and have a second jig for the power / IO. We'll see.

I'm not an engineer, but i think those sharp 90° bends aren't the best

Combien ça coûte Vintage?

Enclosure prices are going up up up-and-awayyyyy...

Totally worth getting the Vintage and rehouse the circuit inside, sell it for $150 bucks in a Hammond-knockoff enclosure and build whatever you like into the Vintage enclosure.

God, how many tools do I have to buy. This one's to make brass submit, and get bend. (annealing).

Manual says things about soldering too, but whatever. Perhaps some future use in that regard.

I took a page from @jessenator’s book and ordered the same vintage MXR flanger with fancy chips in it and it sounds incredibly amazing!!!

I particularly like the Octarock with a bit of overdrive in front of it. But also it sounds fantastic just by itself. The price was totally reasonable for what this is, I don’t think the general public has caught up to how good these sound!!! Thank you for the tip @jessenator, I love me some good modulation.

Scored these two for 60 coins. Wahs bypass mod needs some loving care with my Weller and switch height adjustment. Also considering depth pot for Neo Clone, is it worth doing?

Any suggestions for wah C and R value changes to low tunings?
