What's in the mailbox? 📬 📦

Speaking of shipping and all that, does anyone in the US recall how long it’s taken for them to receive stuff from Parasit in Sweden in the past. The tracking has shown it as “departed” from the ISC Chicago facility for two weeks now without a bit of movement. I’m fully patient with orders taking a while to arrive, but whenever the tracking goes radio silence for over a week, I get a bit leery.

That's what they do. My carrier does it all the time. Marks shit undeliverable, says that there's an animal in the way, etc. They just smash whatever button cuz they have to put something and no one will hold them accountable. My guy doesn't even come every day
well would you look at that… just got off the phone with the post office who confirmed that it was delivered in my mailbox “after an attempt was made to delivery it at the door” even though it’s against protocol to deliver signature-required certified mail to a mailbox. Sure enough it was shoved way in the back of my mailbox, but I was sure to let them know that I have a ring doorbell camera, and there was no point yesterday where anyone attempted to deliver to the door. So the mailcarrier:
  1. Lied about attempting to deliver it
  2. Signed off on signature-required mail on their own
  3. Broke delivery protocol by delivering to a mailbox
  4. Lied about it being handed off directly to the recipient
Hmmm… sounds like we’ve got a local Newman

The long awaited KOT boards, as well as some cute lil 1590A buffer boards (Cornish buffer. Yay!), a ROG English Channel (Vox-in-a-box, into a Vox = Voxer?) and two horizontal wooly mammoth PCBs. Any chance anyone knows the mouser # for the little PCB mount grounding springs? i have a few other things that need them too.

Oh and speaking of Seinfeld, the English Channel is probably/maybe going to be dubbed the English Patient. I bet you’d prefer Sack Lunch though— d'you think they got shrunk down, or is it just a giant sack?
My buddy back in Ohio is a letter carrier. He told me that during the pandemic, the carriers were instructed to sign for customer signature required mail. Since then, that’s not how they’re supposed to do it anymore but, a lot of his fellow carriers are still doing that crap because… well… people are lazy.

It took ab 3 weeks for my last order. I’m in Louisville KY.

Government employees, it may have left the international hold side at O'hare, doesn't mean it left the regular warehouse 100 yards/meters over! I know I can walk it and had my Ric 330 plans from the UK sit there for 2 weeks when I could have day tripped down and back on Amtrak FFS....

Is there a reason you chose the English channel over the ROG Britannia? I have a Britannia board around here somewhere

I think this guy needs no introduction @thewintersoldier, we had talked quite a bit about different types of Phasers and my quest to figure out what type I I would bond with, and the small stone definitely doesn’t disappoint, if you are lucky enough to have one of his builds you truly appreciate the time and efforts he puts into them. Can’t thank you enough for the phaser, power booster board and swag… what a guy! 0B2DA6D4-C3C5-4CF6-9716-835FFDF1583C.jpeg

When it rains it pours for me.. my amp board from Oz, a majority of parts for my sushi boards, split with Fed-Ex..(hate having to redo the 1)and the hardware for my LP project, along with the electronics via UPS. It's getting there.. I forgot the 470uf for the 1 on the left and debating if I should use the 12v PSU and make a voltage divider from a 22k and 68k(I'd use 2.2k/6.8 range but I have the 1st 2) or socket something Fig found for me. That other board.. when I find the transformer it'll be a build report!

Funny thing where I got the tuners for the LP guitar, the place offered a drill bit sized to their bushings... low and farting behold they're the same size as what I got on the shart-caster. I may keep it yet IF Tex=Mex Fender p-ups stay under $120...
sorry for the wall of gloat.
